Frequently asked questions
Bridge the Gap is used by Real Estate Developers, Architects, Engineers, Universities, Contractors, Municipalities, and anyone else who aims to become circular and lower the carbon footprint of our built environment. Our objective is to educate the market and explain the impacts of new building technologies to all stakeholders.
Bridge the Gap is a non-profit initiative solely created to increase the adoption speed of new building methods and technical installations. What makes us unique is that we do not just provide a portal with URLs to manufacturer websites — we make products comparable using a list of critical performance indicators. Additionally, we provide guidelines and information to help find the most suitable solution.
Our sole objective is to increase the speed of adoption of new technology to save our environment. Potential clients and manufacturers can connect directly without our involvement. There are no hidden fees or barriers from our side.
Anyone can use Bridge the Gap for free. This includes the suppliers that want to be on our website, although they will have to invest some time providing us with the required product information.
Any supplier that provides products for the European market in the following two categories can sign up: Building Systems and Technical Installations. For Building Systems, we are looking for all kinds of prefab elements and complete systems that support circularity, from columns and beams to volumetric modules. For Technical Installations, we are looking for all installations that save water, lower energy consumption, generate green energy, or minimise the carbon footprint in any other way. We publish every solution that supports these goals. Bridge the Gap is not a database for building materials such as biobased insulation or CLT panels.
We are not a consultancy and do not provide fee-based advice to third parties. If you want to contact with us for any other reason, you can reach out via the contact page.
Bridge the Gap is currently set up to cover Europe. Over time, we may expand to other regions.
Our non-profit initiative started with a substantial sponsorship by the Aase og Ejnar Danielsens Foundation in Denmark. We rely on sponsors to continue and expand our work and are happy to invite potential candidates who would like to support our mission. Please send your inquiries to hello@bridgethegap.info
To safeguard your privacy, we are not using accounts. In the future, we will introduce this as an option; for suppliers to make it easier to update the product information and for users who like to save their search results.
If you want to update your product information, please email supplier@bridgethegap.info, and we will guide you through the process.
