Who we are
A non-profit coalition of partners seeking to accelerate the transition towards environmentally friendly construction practices in the real estate industry.
Improving the environmental impact of the real estate sector
The construction sector accounts for 30% of all waste in Europe. Transitioning to circular and off-site construction methods will mostly eliminate construction waste and reduce the need for raw materials.
Our built environment is accountable for almost 40% of our global CO2 emissions. Minimising the use of energy and water during the lifetime of a building will dramatically reduce the amount of CO2 emissions and the use of scarce fresh water.
Combining these two will have a profound positive effect on the environmental impact of real estate.
A faster transition to planet-proof construction
We aim to bridge the gap between new building technologies on the market and using them in real estate projects. Faster adoption of new technology enables a more rapid transition to a circular and low-emission building sector.
Bridge the Gap’s purpose is to eliminate the obstacles for a quicker transition by providing the answers to the four most common questions: Where do I find the products, how can I compare them, how do I successfully implement them in my projects, and how does that impact my process?
